In the beginning

I cannot say that life is not all I hoped it would be. I prayed for and have been blessed with my husband, children and Violet but….it is not ever easy! The need to knit consumes me just about every minute and finding and keeping a balance is complicated. Some days I want to throw in the towel and others….I seriously contemplate having more children and adopting another Vizsla. (Don’t tell my mom! She already thinks my hands are full and secretly hates the dog. I’m pretty sure she would not deny that either). But really, would I notice any more confusion at this point? I don’t think so.

Less than a year ago we brought the vibrant vizsla who was quickly named Violet into our home. Our daughter Penelope (then 2) and son Brady (then 9 months) were too young to even notice the change. A month later we accepted a job at Wright Patterson AFB leaving our beautiful fenced in yard and across the street dog park behind us. Then of course we though we’d build a new home. Sounds lovely does it not? Before you start thinking how lucky I am (and oh I am) I should include the part about us living in this dingy little apartment paying out the @%$ for rent because of the pets and short term lease. I knew before the move that such an apartment stay would either bring us closer together or drive us crazy…..I have to say it depends on the day how I would answer that.

This is a compilation on many of the hats I created over the course of the last few years.

One of my first projects….and an always favorite! This is Penny at around 7 months I think.
